Roller Sports Being Considered for 2020 Olympics
International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board Announcement on July 4, 2011: "The shortlist of sports that will be considered for inclusion in the sports programme of the 2020 Olympiad are: baseball, karate, roller sports, softball, sports climbing, squash, wakeboard and wushu, one of which could be added to the 2020 sports programme to be voted on by the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires in 2013. The programme can include a maximum of 28 sports."

2009 Roller Figure Skating World Championships: November 10-21
The International Roller Sports Federation and the German Artistic Roller Skating and Inline Association are presenting the 54th World Roller Figure Skating Championship in the city of Freiburg, Germany from November 10 through November 21, 2009. The inline events are November 11-12, the junior events are November 12-14, senior figures are November 16-17, the opening ceremony is November 17, and the remaining senior, show groups, precision roller skating competitions are November 18-21.

Crossovers on Skates - Fear or Futility?
